Classic automobile restoration company branded custom flyer program for sales of vintage cars
The Classic Car Gallery in Southport, CT needed custom flyers for it's vintage automobiles that would give all the details about each car in a provactive way, while also having a consisitent overall branded look.
Jargon Boy’s Greg Chinn worked with The Classic Car Gallery President Alan Goodman to design a unified branded look flyer program. Each promotional flyer has an individual identity based on the type of car. Inspiration came from the styling and reputation of each. The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 has enough muscle to out-muscle any car on the road. The tagline read, “302 DZ Engine / 4 Speed Trans / Starsky & Hutch Would Be Jealous - THE MUSCLE’S BACK”. On the back of each flyer was detailed specifications about the car and the documented restoration that had been done to each vehicle. The Toyata FJ45 Land Cruiser has such a hip following, so Creative Director Greg Chinn played up on this characteristic. The tagline read, “4.2 Liter V6 / Nickel Plated Hardware / Uber-Cool Factor - INSERT HIPSTER HERE.” The flyers ultimately work in 2 ways. First, they are informational for prospective customers who are interested in purchasing one of the vehicles. Second, the purchase of a vintage car is impulse oriented, so the flyer program helps to gently pesuade the consumer to take action on that initial feeling. The Classic Car Gallery now has a higher brand presence, while gaining a decidedly positive factor on the sales of vintage automobiles.
